Well, since you won't take my experience into consideration...you'll have to take my word for it.

I'm not stating that the system should be rock solid either because that begets a whole 'nother set of problems, but the system has to move as a unit, not as seperate pieces. This is why factory pipes (and hi end exhaust systems) don't usually break.
