cutting coils

well im wanting to drop the rear on down to level it. im going to cut the stock ones instead of cutting my belltechs. anybody done this that can give some pointers??? thanks ahead. also gonna cut the bump stop when i do it

It sucks, but go slow. Cut half a coil at a time, re-install, bounce on the rear a bit to help it settle down, and check again.

Is that what u did?

No, I just have McGaughy's springs installed right now. My plan is to cut them in the spring to get the truck and inch lower, front and rear.
