That could be it. I bought a used tuner and had some problems with it and SC ended replacing it for free under warranty. My trans tuning didn't show up in the software with the new tuner so they had to manually enable it. Ever since then, it doesn't show that I have purchased it in the software, it still has the option to purchase.

Their update software is finicky to say the least, but the tuner and tunes are pretty good.

And I forget they are in Florida, eastern time zone and close at 5:00.

Ok dude I went into advanced tuning and found all the options like disable MDS rev limiter 1st and 2nd WOT as well as 3 and WOT. and ratios and a schedule option.. is this where I can change the wot shifts and stuff? I'm so lost dude lol.

Right now my WOT shift from 1st to 2nd is at 5800 now I have noticed that every other WOT run there is a clinking noise when it comes from the top of 1st to the bottom of 2nd or soon as it shifts from 1st to 2nd. That can't be good....right?

Not sure on the clinking noise, that's kinda strange...

MDS disable is a yes or no option, select yes if you don't want MDS. REV limit is just that, setting your rev limit, this has to be at least a few hundred more RPM than your 1-2 and 2-3 shift points. 1-2 shift sets the RPM it will wind to in 1st and 2-3 sets RPM in 2nd.

Then you have your shift schedules and TM settings. You will have shift schedule, OD off shift schedule and 4wd low shift schedule. For now I would just play with the standard shift schedule then once you get the hang of that you can start playing with the OD off and 4wd Low schedules. Keep in mind both of these schedules share same shift points for 1UP and 2DN. Once you are finally able to purchase the trans tuning, there will be an option under each shift schedule and TM page to select "User" then you can modify each gear.

There was a pretty good FAQ on the whole trans tuning I saw a while back, I will see if I can find it.

Morgan I have my rev limit set to 6000 and my 1st to 2nd set at 5600 and my 2nd to 3rd at 5600 is that enough room between the rev limit and shifts?

Also this thing is set on 31.50 for the tire size arnt the stock tires 33's? Should I set it at 33?

myoung84 08-22-2011 05:44 PM

That should be fine on the Rev limter, just need a few hundred above the shift points. For tire size you will need to measure your tires. The stock tires are actually about 32" under the truck's weight. My Coopers measured 32.25" when new and are now down to 32". I have checked my speed with my GPS and I am dead on with mine set at 32".

yeah I am dead on at 31.50 (Acording to my gps) so i'll leave it..

Thanks bud
