Nice lights man! Looking good! Hope you get to stay active here. We'll be thinking of you when you go overseas.

Sucks you have to go overseas! How long will you be over there?

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-13-2011 01:05 PM

Lights look awesome Jeff. Good luck man.

Lights are paid for, I just need to wait on my accord to get out of the body shop. I actually dropped it off yesterday, so the wait begins.

I've decided to go ahead and keep the truck. My company (once hired) will pay the difference if I sell it back to the dealership. Now that my wife has a clown car(miata)...I think I will hang onto it in case she needs it for anything while I'm gone. Besides, it give me a reason to buy some firestone bags for the move to vegas. lol

BTW, when I get back from overseas, I will be opening a 'Bed & Breakfast' for any of you fellas that wanna visit. Well, not really a 'breakfast', but you will have a free place to crash as long as you don't puke on the carpet. Granted, this is almost 3 years away, but the offer will still stand.:rockit:

Small admin note: Almost done with the hiring process, will probably have the family moved and on my way overseas before Turkey Day. That and the new contract here on Fort Sill...cut us another $3.50 an hour...and still no bennies. Can you say "Mass Exodus." Ouch...

what a bunch of shit. at least you are in good enough spirits to know that its not the end of the world and you can move on. where is your B&B going to be? the lights look right at home on there. good luck overseas, give em hell.

Lie2me 09-21-2011 05:44 AM

Thank you, I can't wait to get my lights to Jeremy.

As for the B&B, it was more of a joke than anything. It will be like a "Crash here and bring donuts" more than a B&B.

As for the job, yeah, there are always better places to work. I don't care for the contracting world, but it is a way to get ahead of the game. I met a LOT of important people last night at dinner, so I'm still developing my network. Now more than ever, its who you know. I've got the "what you know" covered in spades. Two year plan and alternate 10 year plan. Either way, I am retired at 50(thats my goal, and just turned 40 in June).
Thanks for the words, I appreciate it.
Jeff

Good luck Jeff.

Thank you. I haven't been overseas since 2009, I'm really not looking forward to doing this for a two year stint, but its the only option I have that will accomplish my 'end game'. I guess the only cool part is the money, hope there is a sic ass Ram to trade up too in 2014/5....R/T with a FAT motor would be real nice(and a transmission that will take the punishment.) Hell, they will probablly be pushing out Hybrid R/T's by then...LMAO

ramthis9501 09-30-2011 04:59 PM
