Looks great man!! That dark red rather than black really goes great with the truck!

0212353 07-19-2012 10:52 PM

spiffy! :D

I should have talked ya into some mineral gray ones. LOL

(S.M.R) 101 07-19-2012 11:08 PM

I thought about doing that JJ.. But i'm glad I stuck with the black

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-19-2012 11:56 PM

Prefect.

myoung84 07-20-2012 09:45 AM

So, JJ, what would this little mod cost me?

(S.M.R) 101 07-20-2012 11:25 AM

Buck in a half... little less.

I did the core program. I'm shipping the my old tail lights today

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-20-2012 11:44 AM

Damn thats all? Great prices.

myoung84 07-20-2012 12:01 PM

JJ, shoot me the details. ;) That's a great price.

(S.M.R) 101 07-20-2012 01:33 PM

You can go on his website and start the order form. He has it all set up now to where you input everything right on his site with what you want.

(S.M.R) 101 07-20-2012 10:16 PM

Soooo...... I would like to get some bigger tires as some of you know... 295/60/20

I'm looking at about 1500 bucks for the rubbers and don't think a set of 20" M/T tires will move very fast, me selling the old ones.. I only have 375 miles on these but Idk what to do now..

What are you guy's feelings? and be honest with me.. Do the tires look to small on the truck or is it just me?

myoung84 07-20-2012 10:28 PM

That's a tough call. I think they look good but bigger would look better, if that makes any sense. Will your tire shop help you out any?

You should try and post them on Craigslist before you order new ones and see what kind of bites you get.

(S.M.R) 101 07-20-2012 10:49 PM

I am going to try and contact the shop that put my level kit on and see if they will swap my tires but the owner corey is kind of a dick so I'm not going to bank on him agreeing to do that.

My next option would be craigslist..

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-20-2012 10:55 PM

I personally like them. Here's my honest opinion:

Compared to Morgan's truck, yes, you need bigger tires. However, Morgan's truck has more of a rough tough offroad look to it, which I do like.

Compared to that, your truck has (and I mean this VERY lightly and non-offensively) more of a street lifted truck. It's (you're going to hate me) prettier. I really like the look of your truck and I think the ends do not justify the means.

(S.M.R) 101 07-20-2012 11:15 PM

No, I agree dave. I was totally going for the offroad/street truck.. and at some views I love how the truck looks.. But other times I look at it and the tires just don't look right...

I'm just looking into it way to hard... Almost like i'm trying to find a reason to bitch about something... I have had so many people come up to me and tell me my truck is perfect that they would not change a thing... But I just don't see it lol

(S.M.R) 101 07-20-2012 11:19 PM

Even if I do go with a 295/60..... I would probably rub the bottom rocker...

Think I would?

myoung84 07-20-2012 11:26 PM

Mine comes very close in that exact spot. I think it does rub a tiny bit, I saw some scuff marks on the plastic earlier, but only on the driver side. And I agree with Dave, you truck has more of an elegant look to it with the painted flares and grille. Like I said before, your current tires look great as is. Unless you can get them swapped out for cheap, I'd keep them.

myoung84 07-20-2012 11:27 PM

Also, keep in mind the 295/60 would be about 1 to 1.5" narrower than what you have now.

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-20-2012 11:42 PM

Keep them Kyle. Once you add the light bar it'll look even better.

Morgan, tails / 3rd run 135 on your set. Cores are in stock and ready to be dropped with the painter too (a core fee would be collected, but refunded when yours come back).

Here's a link for 'em - http://shop.retroshop.us/ProductDeta...ode=TNT%2ETAIL

:fuckyea:

And Kyle.......I don't think you need new tires. I have gone back and forth on it......but I think its great where its at!

(S.M.R) 101 07-21-2012 12:42 AM

DoubleTakeDodge 07-23-2012 09:44 PM

Trucks lookin good buddy. I think the tires look fine!

(S.M.R) 101 07-31-2012 02:02 PM

Alright guys.... A guy that I work with want's my 33's that I have now. He told me he would give me $1100 for them.. I think i'm going to go with the 295/60/20...

I know we have had this discussion before but I want a little bit of a taller tire.. Now the question is do you think it would be worth it going up 1" in tire size.. Will it make that much of a difference in appearance

myoung84 07-31-2012 02:29 PM

You have my thoughts... :D

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-31-2012 02:57 PM

I agree with Morgan.

(S.M.R) 101 07-31-2012 03:23 PM

me and Morgan have been covert texting D. Man..

I don't know guys since I don't drive the truck all the time now I might do the 295/65/20.. I know I will get a little rub but since i'm not driving the truck all the time.......yeah buddyyy

myoung84 07-31-2012 03:34 PM

I'm not sure how much of a difference your 0 offset wheels will make, but I only get a slight rubbing on the plastic fender liner on a full lock left turn in reverse. A simple set of 1/2" longer control arms will solve this. Top Gun Customz has arms for about $200...

(S.M.R) 101 07-31-2012 03:48 PM

Hummm

0212353 07-31-2012 06:42 PM

I'd leave it. Its not horrible, and ..... put the money towards something else. What would that be, the 4th set of tires on that truck?

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-31-2012 07:43 PM

I know you guys have been covert texting...I've been intercepting them.

No, honestly, I just put that for the hell of it.

(S.M.R) 101 07-31-2012 07:50 PM

Yeah..... I Think i'm going to run this set down then maybe next time i'll go for bigger tires...

I just get these impulse to want bigger tires... I don't know why.

Haha Nice Dave
