I think that would just widin the hot spot area.

If you look at the hot spot now it's just one area but if you use the wide spread I think it would make it a bigger hot spot area.

there would prolly still be a dark area around the 40 to 90mph area..

what if you painted the tip of the led that way you only get indirect lighting i'm guessing a lot of the hotspotting is from the tip ... i might play around with this
