Lol, we always want something different. I always wanted to color match everything but once I added the painted grill it toned down the chrome overload and I actually like the chrome bumpers. Even though the chrome plating is shitty and my front bumper looks horrible up close. Guess that's what you get after 40k+ miles on our shitty roads.

So I took the grill off and am getting ready to paint it when I had an idea...and then I remembered seeing my idea somewhere. I decided that instead of painting just the crosshairs I'm going to paint the crosshairs and the inner lip of the grill for a nice clean finish. Found these (of course his is shaved and mine won't be):

Sweet. Going to pick my son up from daycare and go get some painter's tape since I just realized mine is all gone. Hopefully painting tonight!

Just sayin....

Is it absolutely perfect? No. I was able to lay down the material FAR better than I ever have before so it's nice and even. The pictures are not long after the last coat so it is still pretty wet...that's why it looks so uneven in spots. The worst thing about painting with PD is that the material has a very rubbery quality so when you pull masking off it doesn't come off as cleanly. I took a very sharp hobby knife and ran it along the edges for the cleanest edge possible but it's still a little rough in a couple places. You won't see it unless you're looking for something to point out. Overall I'm very happy and I think if the PD gives me any trouble in the future I'm going to just paint the grill permanently.
