Have you tried bridging the subs instead of runnin em each on their own channel??

Yeah I'm not an expert on the ohms but I'm pretty sure you can't run 2 ohms into a 4 ohm sub. Way to much impedence going into the subs so the amp is shutting off so your subs wont blow up. The second way to wire them that you posted would probably be better, but like I said Im not an expert by any means when it comes to technical stuff. Im better with installation.

what is the model of the amp? are you SURE it's a 2 ch just bc it has 2 sets of connections doesn't mean it's a 2 channel

it sounds like you have a mono amp and you are trying to run it at 1 ohm with the 2 dvc4 ohm subs in parallel which would make all the sense in the world to why it's kicking off ... plus most big amps are class d mono amps wayyyy more efficient and cheaper to build vs a class ab 2 channel -- roughly 2-4x more expensive so like i said i bet it's a mono

Lol well matt i got it figured out i ran it the way i put on here the second time and it works fine sounds awesome and pounds!!! :-)

Yes it is a two channel amp, with it being a two channel and me having the subs hooked up the way the first diagram shows except the amp was bridged unlike in the first diagram i beleive i was probably trying to run my amp at to low of an ohm
