The on demand ones are the standard ones on other trucks right? (like mine?)

In the end, pretty shitty.......not that 99% of us go offroad with these things, but.......if its advertised.....yeah. can't see what the longer wheelbase would matter on it either..........unless its a different driveshaft, where the others wouldn't need a "special" one......who knows

For 13-14, the Bighorn/Lonestar, Sport, and the Laramies get the on demand auto transfer case. The tradesman, express, SLT, and Outdoorsman are all supposed to get the part time case, regardless of frame length. And you're right, it's not really an issue for 99% of folks but it is for some. I believe the 09-12 trucks had an NV case rather that the Borg Warner a D 4lock and 4Low actually locked up like they were supposed to. The problem with the new Borg Warner case is that 4 auto is really no different than 4 lock. It must detect wheel spin before engaging the front axle.

I've already experienced one instance that pissed me off. Had my little flat bed trailer hooked up, parked on an incline, rear wheels on soft mushy grass, front on hard packed gravel. I put it in 4 lock, gave it a little gas, and it dug a nice rut with the back tires before the front tires ever got any power. The rears should have never slipped with the front on gravel and in 4wd...

ahhh........well thats crazy man.

I know the few times I've used 4wd - mostly putzin' around in snow - I wouldn't get any slippage, just walked up the ramp at the warehouse.

Whats the point in what you have? I want 4wd to stop the slippage, not "kick in when you feel like it"

Yes sir. I hope to install them next weekend. Could have done it this weekend but I don't have time to get it aligned this week. I like to put a few miles on it before aligning it to make sure everything is settled.

I did get the airbags installed this morning.

I installed my Airlift 1000 air bags yesterday. They'll get some good testing this week, I'll be dragging around a 7200 lb trailer this week for work. Installation was super easy, especially compared to the same bags I installed on my old 2010. Those had a thicker top spacer and required spring removal.
