Long read...
So I went and picked up an axle last night, which I put up in the other thread I made. Got it loaded in the truck, everythings good and we head out. Btw, I was in my dad's 4WD Mega Cab. Well I pulled into a little corner store for a second, and let me remind you it was pitch black. Then as I was pulling back out, the right front dips down and into a ditch
I get my buddy to get out and look around to make sure it was all ok, which it was. So, I threw it into 4HI and gassed it a little. All of the sudden, I hear a pssssh sound... I thought it was the hydraulics on the 4WD, but no... the right front tire went flat
Luckily, that diesel can get out of about anything because I basically crawled out of the ditch with very little gas and absolutely no tire spin, even with a flat tire. So I pull it back around into the convenient store parking lot and get out to look. The metal tin horn in the ditch that was sticking out about 5 to 6 feet from the edge, cut a hole into the inner sidewall. I was pissed and felt stupid at the same time. Thankfully, there were tire tools in the tool box, along with a jack and the spare wheel/tire. Me and my buddy swapped tires in about 45 minutes, which I feel wasn't to bad, considering this was my first experience changing a tire myself out in the middle of nowhere.
After we got that done, I drove it pretty carefully, even more so then I was before it happened. I took it slow with the axle in the back the whole way home. My dad isn't to upset, just glad it wasn't something worse... He's awesome.
So now I gotta find a like new 18" Nitto Terra Grappler to replace the flat one. Anyone know of someone with one?

All in all, I think I learned a couple things out of all this, plus I got my axle, so the night wasn't a total bust.
Last night sucked...
