Default has anyone relocated a gas tank?

Im just curious if anyone one here has done a gas tank relocation? I want to put my gas tank further back like in my bed back buy the tailgate. does anyone know what all has to be done to do that?

i'm sure there are better sites to get info on that stuff like minis for example .. most people here don't have a bagged truck

nope sry dude, I did know a guy that had a lifted gmc that put his inside his fenderwell, also had a buddy with a lowered Dakota that put his inside his bed, but it wasn't back by the tailgate. it was just opposite of where it would have been if it was on the outside of the bed, just makes it easier to do since u don't need a longer fill neck and vent tube and stuff.

Mine is in the bed close to the back of cab i just want it to the back by tailgate

If you can wing the money Id recommened a Michigan Metal Works fuel cell. Or you just move it where you want and figure out the mounting then just extend the fuel lines and wires. the hardest part is figuring out how to mount it. My 03 that was bagged I put the factory tank in the bed.

Yea thats where its at now, i cant put my factory one where i wanted cause the bed floor is raised from the rear axle back so imma get a different tank soon

I highly reccomened a MMW tank comes with everything you need. Taylor does really good work.

Ive got a tank but now my stock fuel hose wont reach any suggestions on maybe how to get the extra 20"s or so?

I beleive those trucks are the same as mine. I just used 1/4 inch hose and brass fittings with clamps. spliced it in just like a wire.

exactly what i did. it works great also. just not the best looking. i will eventually just replace the whole hose with a new one so nothing is aged or spliced
