Default Cost for gear installs around OKC?

Hey guys, I have sets of 4.56 gears for the front & rear of my truck. Right now I'm just shopping around for the best price from a place that I can trust to do a good job, so I thought I'd see where you guys recommend. I've already talked to Offroad Specialists and they quoted $650 for the Labor only. Anyone have other suggestions within 40 miles or so of OKC?

Have you tried Auto Accessories Unlimited in Norman?

No, I haven't heard of them. Have you used them before?

I haven't but some of the guys here like them, might wait for them to chime in. It's right off 35 on Indian Hills

Let us know when you find a good place, and one that knows what they have to grind down in the housing. I want to swap in 4.56.

Well the owner of Offroad Specialists installed 4.56 gears in his '09 Sport, so I'm sure they know what needs to happen. I just thought I'd shop around a bit first.

That works for me. I just don't want to be a guinea pig for someone who has never put gears in a newer Ram. I remember calling around a few years ago trying to find someone to install 4.56s in my 04. Every place I called pretty much called me stupid for installing 4.56s in a street truck. This tells me they have never worked on or driven a Hemi Ram. Finally had slammed1 out of Ft Smith put them in and couldn't have been happier.

At 70 MPH in 5th gear with stock size tires I will go from 1915 RPM to 2228 RPM, a whopping increase of 313 RPM. Only real down fall is if you are running high speeds, at 85 I will be over 2700 RPM, but if you're running that fast gas mileage isn't your main concern...

Yea that's true. I wasn't too worried with the 35" tires, but now that I've gone up to 37's I can really feel a difference. I'm not sure if it's the weight or the height, but it really sucked a lot of performance out of the truck.

I know the guys at AAU pretty well but I don't believe they do gear installs. Have you called Blumenthals?
