I've been following your conversation with Shawn on FB. He seems to love how much power he's making (10 second street car, holy hell!!!). Its also hella cheap, I think his pic showed $3.09/gallon right now? My only concern is with deterioration of engine parts and, as un-cool as this is, mileage using it. I would be willing to move to custom tuning and whatever else is necessary as long as I can get the power but still retain reasonable mileage since I drive 40+ miles daily.

The idea is to not have to spend over three tines the price of race gas for 15-20% more mileage. If i go E85 i will probably buy a beater first. All the fast hemi cars run E85.....but at that point mileage doesnt mean much

It's a straight plug boot. I'll get some pictures later tonight

I thought about trying E85 too, but I don't think it makes economical sense on the street if the engine is factory. If I was running 11:1 CR, it might be worth the effort. I was guessing that someone could write a Predator tune for it also...

Ford did some testing with one of their 4-cyl setups, but they were also using a turbo and analyzing the results...

I do know several folks run E85 instead of racing fuel. 105 octane at that price is pretty good...

I will end up with probably a 10.4 CR long block next winter with good heads and a cam, so E85 will probably be the easiest way to go so I can drive it and not have to swap tunes for better gas. Only thing that really needs swapping to run E-85 is the fuel system....pump, and lines mostly.
