I hate Craigslist sometimes. Get a text from a local number asking about the truck. Here's our conversation.
Him: Hi I'm asking about your truck for sell
Me: What can I help you with? Feel free to give me a call
Him: I don't have calling min. LOL well its just a quick question. I'm 17 and I don't have money. I'm Jw if you'd trade..?
Me: No, I can't take trades. Sorry.
Him: Dang. Well how much were you wanting?
Me: I'd go down to $39k like it's pictured. If I were to return to stock I could do $36k.
Him: Well crap I really need a truck LOL. If you only traded or took payments.
Me: A bank would be able to loan the money.
Him: I can't get loans I'm only 17. But thanks anyways.
Me: You'd have to have a cosigner. Do you have income to support a $40k vehicle?
Him. I have two jobs. I do have money for the gas and stuff just not 40k to buy one now lol
Me: Cool man. If you're able to have a parent or someone cosign we could certainly make a deal. I have to have the full amount up front though.
And no reply... LOL
So he's 17, has no money but wants a $40k, 10 MPG truck? At least he works, I'll give him that. I can just see him asking grandma to cosign for him.
And what does he have for trade that he feels is equal? I don't really want his Civic. Haha
