Kinda figured this was part of it.......

No, being a stay at home mom - not the best. My wife does it for 3 months a year (teacher) and it DRIVES ME NUTS. Get to work. LOL

I'm surprised my wife hasn't brought it up again. Especially after Wednesday....I made more than day than she makes in a month. (she gets paid peanuts...but still a great day for me!).

I get the idea of staying at home, but this isn't the 50s.

Go buy a 1999 Ford Explorer and say "thats your ride now". Oh, you are home all day? Lets see how you cook. Want it to be the 50s around here, get on with it.

(ummm...........part of me is joking there, but........WTF)

I can understand your frustration to a point Morgan. I don't have kids so I'm out in that department.. but that follows my situation with Emily. She constantly pushes for me to quit my job and work near home so I can be home every night. She doesn't really care that I love my job and it pays really well.

she loves having nice things and being able to do the things we do... like me paying for a 7k honeymoon in some remote island.

She has a very good head on her shoulders and is very independent. She works her ass off just like me but makes very little at her job. We both work extremely hard for what we have. But I get sick of the arguments because of her wanting me to quit my job.. we literally fight 3 to 4 times a week because of it.

There are weeks where I'm like, fuck this shit but I can understand where she is coming from to a point. But if I didn't make the money I do then things would be really tough for our current living style. I would without a doubt have to ditch the truck and my smaller hobbies like music.

But I just keep pressing on because at the end of the day we still have a lot to be thankful for but she can be such a pain in the ass about everything.

Again I can't really compare to your situation because we have no kids but I feel the frustration buddy.

At least I'm not the only one in a similar boat. The most frustrating part is arguing about the same shit over and over again. I understood your point the first time.

no offence.....but you are 19 man. At 19 I had no desire to get married.

<---- that was my goal at 19.

I'll be 35 soon, been married now for 11 years. (yeah, didn't take long after 19 to change my mind!)

Found the right person, she puts up with my shit, I put up with hers. Our arguments now really revolve around moving. I want to.....she's being a pain about it. But, there's a nice chunk of change burning a hole in my wallet - I told her I was going to go buy a nice RCSB. Next day "hey, lets drive by that house you were thinking about"

Yep, the thought of marriage at 19 was no where in sight. Lol

My wife wants a new house too, and so do I in a way, but Damn I hate moving. She's also going to have to agree to keep working since she wants 3000+ square feet with a huge yard. That's not cheap...

I will say that I am happily married to the right person. She just pushes me close to the edge at times. Venting a little certainly helps. Lol

Jeremy, I'd say get a house first. You're going to want a garage stall for both princesses...

The That garage is awesome! I could have fit my boat in there with that tall door, needed a 10' tall door. A little granite in the kitchen and painting those cabinets white that would be a great kitchen. The living room looks a little tight though. We ruled out so many houses simply because it wasn't a good living room for my big TV and surround sound. I love my 6.1 surround sound.
