Dumped or duals
I have a true dual flowmaster 40 series running out of the back, ive gotten alot of compliments on it, but i want to know if i should 1)dump it after the axle or 2)dump it and cut the cats. i want to get a little bit more of an intimidating sound, like a growl, but idk if the cats getting cut off will do the trick

After the axle.. I had an AT3030XL dumped after the rear axle and it sounded amazing

Duals. I've personally never liked the way anything dumped sounds.

Agreed. Duals back, x pipe before mufflers to even out air flow, duals out. With 12 inch or 15 inch echo tips. Do that with two super 44 flow master mufflers. The outcome is a deep, menacing sound

I'm running dual 3 inch into cherry bomb xtreme single in single out, mine dump before the axel, I move alot more air than a hemi but its got a real nice rumble down low, and screams up high. No cats either.

if you dump it and not use echo tips you get a deeper sound only drawback to dumping it is more reverb in the cab i personally don't like how tailpipe exhuasts have more of a echo'y sound

Well if your wanting horsepower lose the flow master for starters and get a straight thru muffler like a magma flow.. I personally don't like tips out the back besides on lofted trucks with like 6 inch diesel tip. But each to his own. I'm putting a roll pan on in future to elimanate my tips
