Saturday evening project: Garage shelves

The previous owner of my house was a severly amateur DIY guy...you should have seen the way he did some of the things around here that my dad and I fixed when I first bought and remodeled this place. On top of that, he was apparently cheap as well. Anyway, here is the only shelving that was in my garage when I bought the house:



How do you like the shelf brackets installed on the wrong side (look to the left side, on top of the shelf)? How about the support bracked mounted to the ceiling out of three different pieces of wood? Anyway, I bought two 2x12x12 pieces of wood and six good shelf brackets (rated at 550 lbs) from Home Depot. I replaced the shitty shelf on that side:



And also added one on the side of my garage with my tools and such:

My plan is to fix all of the holes in the wall, which I've already started, and then two-tone the garage. The floor will come after that.
