Are you getting a lot of bed bounce and noise from the rear? I just installed the airlift helper bags on the rear of my truck and its made a huge difference in feel and noise. This may not help, but its something to consider.
Have you ever ran low profile wheels on a truck before? More wheel and less tire is definitely going to give you a change in the way the truck feels.
I would definitely consider the Bilstien shocks. I can't speak for them on the ram, but I did test drive a new car that had the bilstien package...and it was night and day on the exact same car. Unbelievable actually. It was only a $500 upgrade, but it wasn't a package offered on the automatic my wife bought. I will be upgrading her car with the Bilstiens when I get back from overseas.
Lastly, can you run the Bilstiens on a lowered Ram? 2/4? I see a truck in your sig line, but I was just wanting to double-check.
