That's what i've been telling him! He wants me to get an 80s model Chevy shortwide , which don't get me wrong are very nice, but i love dodge rams.

My argument FOR the cummins:
1) 24+ mpg potentially (TWICE what i was getting in my old truck and what the shortwides will get)
2) ext cab instead of single cab (won't have to sell when i have a family)
3) ALOT more towing power (potential money maker)
4) mechanical motor instead of run primarily by computers (no expensive tuners, just bolt on parts)
5) Much better suspension for where i live (in the country down pretty bad roads)
6) this one in particular has been garage kept and well taken care of by an older man who is also the FIRST and ONLY owner of the truck thus far!
7) Resale Value (much higher than a gas shortwide)
8) AND I CAN STAY IN THE ORC (NO EXPLANATION NECESSARY)

His argument AGAINST the cummins:
1) expensive if the injectors or injector pump fail (the one successful argument against a diesel)
2) mechanical, carb'd motor in a chevy shortwide (made irrelevant by my mechanical 12v argument)
3) its a diesel... (he has a bias against diesels with not reason)
