22 or 24" with 2-4 drop?
I am planning on ordering rims in the near future and was wondering if I could get by with 24s w/o rubbing with no mods or should I go with 22s?
|
On Oklahoma roads, I would say 22's.
|
depending on tire size, the 2/4 already is very close on rubbing, 24's would loose sidewall, and agree, on Oklahoma roads, do 22's...they look great on the 4th gens
My vote is 22's and a 305/45/22 |
I run 22s with a 305/45/22 and have a little rub up front on full lock....I wouldn't go with a bigger wheel because it means less tire.

get both and swap'em

Now that I think about it and read this, you're completely right. OK roads demolish tires, rims, suspension, etc...

Coweta, is Morton Machine still open? They built a race engine for me there once.

Hey Stephen! It's Jon Frye... Didn't know you were on here. I have 22's on my 4th gen, which you prob saw on FB and like David I get rub at full lock... Hope things are goin good!

I have 22s with a 2/4 no rub have 285/45/22 up front and 305/45/22 in rear
|
My stock 275/60 20s rub with a 2/4 drop too, I want to go to 285/45 22 soon, or maybe 285/40 if I feel like drop modding
|
I think mine are 305s all they way around...
|
I had 24s on my 2/4 but had a 275/30 u can run a 305/30 24 n be just fine.. maybe a slight rub at full lock rim width n offset have more to do with it then Wheel diameter does. My truck is bagged on 24s now and no rub at all just had to roll fenders in the front the back is a whole different story
