Nice!

myoung84 02-25-2012 12:13 PM

I like it!

ramthis9501 02-25-2012 01:43 PM

Awesome thanks Dave! Im wanting to go with a satin dark gray, so not to far off from that color

ramthis9501 02-25-2012 01:50 PM

So what do you all think, the satin dark gray or a gloss dark gray? Im split between the two right now...

BMRbrnSNRbrd 02-25-2012 04:31 PM

You know my opinion.

Satin...like hot rod gray primer?

So you are making a "rat Ram"?

Dave, add some gloss red brush painted steel rims with chrome hub covers and the look will be complete.

Actually...that's not a bad idea, IMO.

Lt.Dan 02-26-2012 09:35 PM

That would be badass. I love rat rods.

Okiespaniels 02-26-2012 09:50 PM

I like Rat rods too...My '48 Plymouth business coupe would've qualified.

Rat rams...no
Of course its his truck and he'll do what he wants...stubborn teenagers anyway!

Dave...I await this chop. I would suggest some smoothies and dog dish hubcaps from a 70's truck, but I don't know how that'll 'shop.

ramthis9501 02-26-2012 10:17 PM

I dont want a rat ram... I might just go with gloss...

do you have a good idea at what a quality paintjob is going to cost? unless there is damage or something that amount of money could pay for many mods .. you don't want to cheap out on a paint job bc you'll end up with a different color sure but not as good quality as you originally had ..

ramthis9501 02-26-2012 10:52 PM

I got a plan on paint... Thats not going to be a problem

DoubleTakeDodge 02-27-2012 12:17 AM

I like the dark matte grey. Looks pretty dang good imo.

rvarela 02-27-2012 09:13 AM

i think that would look really good. dont know if it will help you or not, but i can get a airless/air assisted graco painter if you want to do it one weekend. let me know.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks man!

ramthis9501 02-29-2012 04:10 PM

Well now Im thinking of the satin again, but I think Im gonna go a couple shades lighter so it doesnt look almost black.

DoubleTakeDodge 02-29-2012 04:21 PM

That'll look good! And unique, I've never seen anyone do satin in that color before!
