Thinking of un-plastidipping my wheels
With as much dirt and mud as this truck sees it's almost impossible to keep the plastidip looking good. So, I am thinking about pulling it off. Your thoughts?
Maybe peel it off and go with something more permanent
id just remove it rather than fighting with trying to keep it looking good..
New rims and tires! Problem solved :D
OK, it's off. That wasn't too bad... I'll roll with the chrome for now and decided what to do later...
you can PC new chrome apparently, its the old chrome that can not be saved
They're not really chrome, but polished aluminum, which will be even better for powder coating.
Powder coat them then, that'll look good!
Eventually I might, but that's a huge pain in the ass. Have to put the truck on jackstands, get them to the tire shop to break them down, drop off at the powder coater, wait for them to get done, then mount and balance the tires. I don't want it done that bad right now... When it comes time for new tires, I'll see what I can do...
Imagine doing all that for nothing
Yeah that sucks mike.... I have been thinking about PC'ing my wheels. But like Morgan said I really don't want to take all the time to do everything that entails.
I wish I would have seen this before you took it off...theres a VERY easy fix for dirty PD'ed wheels...coat them in some tire cleaning foam and then just wipe them off.
^^ Turtel Wax Tire Foam.... Shit works awesome.
