Some plans for the 3rd gen..

Okay..
so far i want:
Pacesetter ceramic coated headers
high-flow magnaflow cats
vararam intake
custom tune, or maybe a superchip, OR a diablosport trinity
and possibly a dana 60 or some sort of posi rear end,
and might have a buddy help me make some traction bars ;)

any suggestions? or tell me what ya thing.
wishing all the best:rockit:

I have a Superchips Cortex for sale :D

Just sayin......

fast_Orange 02-08-2012 01:15 AM

googling now

fast_Orange 02-08-2012 01:19 AM

were you pretty happy with it?

DoubleTakeDodge 02-08-2012 01:26 AM

That 's the same one I had and I was very pleased!

fast_Orange 02-08-2012 01:30 AM

i think the tune is something i wanna do after the headers and intake,

oh and i almost forgot. Bigger throttle body or throttle body spacer, as far as power for them money?

(S.M.R) 101 02-08-2012 01:49 AM

I loved it.... I didn't realize how much difference the chip made until I set my truck back to stock to take the hour drive to the dealership. it felt so bogged down on stock

You will get the same benefits from the tuner now vs after the other stuff, so if you can swing it I would pick it up. As far as a tb spacer, they do nothing for our trucks.

Stroker kit! :D Lol

fast_Orange 02-08-2012 01:49 PM

I was always told put all the bolt ons you want to have on your truck before you tune it, maybe that's only for dyno or custom tunes /:

BMRbrnSNRbrd 02-08-2012 03:36 PM

That is for only dyno and custom tunes.

Add an electric fan to the list also.

OklaHemi 02-09-2012 12:00 AM

looks like you have a good plan time to execute.

fast_Orange 02-10-2012 11:20 AM

electric fan? just extra cooling?
i might need a tranny cooler too

BMRbrnSNRbrd 02-10-2012 12:36 PM

The electric fan is a replacement for your mechanical (clutch) fan. That frees up a little power but throttle response is the biggest benefit.

fast_Orange 02-11-2012 07:18 PM

ooooh. id definitely like that

916Timmy 02-11-2012 07:28 PM

Sounds like a mean truck in the making!!!!

rvarela 02-12-2012 02:12 PM

how does that electric fan work? i mean is it best to buy some kind of control unit for the fan? or is there a way to wire to a sensor to come on at a certain degrees?

fast_Orange 02-22-2012 12:41 AM

oh and i c ant decide between traction bars or this awesome front and rear anti sway bar setup i found on stylin trucks .com

DoubleTakeDodge 02-22-2012 12:54 AM

What's the difference in result?

nightmatt 02-22-2012 10:05 AM

I would say sway bars. no need for traction bars unless u plan to race alot. and even then I would wait till u have more motor mods.

fast_Orange 02-22-2012 10:16 PM

true. the sway bars would help corners at higher speeds but i decided i was dumb for considering either because i dont road race and i still have a stock truck so unless i win the lottery and start dumping $$$$$$ into my truck theres no need to consider them yet
