DIY Bedrug
I installed a "custom" bed rug in my truck and it is awesome! It's really simple to do, so heres how...
First, go to Lowes and get a few rolls of indoor/outdoor carpet. It is cut in 6'x8' pieces, so it took me three rolls to do the entire inside of mine, including the underside of the tonneau cover. http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...-35-43_689.jpg Also, get some kind of silicone equivilent to Liquid Nails. Some stuff called "Beats the Nail" was used on mine. This stuff will glue it on and never come off. Now measure out your demensions and cut the carpet to desired length and width. Lay it down where you want it, make necessary cuts to make it fit and cover the back side of it in glue. Lay it down on the metal and hold for about 10-15 seconds and let dry. http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...-28-36_154.jpg After you have it all glued down, stand back and admire your work... http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-39-23_19.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...-39-32_863.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...-39-27_941.jpg |

Wow! You didn't tell me that was a DIY bed rug! I honestly thought you bought it somewhere.
|
Very nice...want to do mine next? jk.
|
Lol I wouldn't mind helping out sometime if you really wanna do it Al.
And thanks guys! I really like the way it turned out |
spiffy, not too big on the glue part, but the end result does look nice!
|
I have see guys do this but make plywood cutouts, add some design to the side panels then slap them in. Great job Colton, it looks awesome. You need to add some LEDs under the bed rails for extra cool points
|
Led's are in the plans!
