Looks like the leaf spring rear is gone too, in favor of the 5 link system. Hmmmm...

(S.M.R) 101 06-29-2013 02:22 PM

I know Al... I'm pretty excited about this...... Might be buying a new truck once in production.

(S.M.R) 101 06-29-2013 02:24 PM

I really like the fact they are going to give an option of 20" wheels on factory 2500's.... That's been a big bitch of mine for RAM

ramthis9501 06-29-2013 08:28 PM

That's cool as hell! Glad they're starting to do something different with the cars and trucks.

myoung84 06-29-2013 09:29 PM

Yes, I know. Really don't need this kind of news right now. Lol

BMRbrnSNRbrd 06-29-2013 09:47 PM

Sorry Morgan.

but they are all ugly, and your aftermarket ones look better.

And......we know you wouldn't keep the stock rims, so...... :flamingdevil:

(S.M.R) 101 06-29-2013 11:08 PM

I'm actually going back to the stock wheels.. Mine are up for sale. Fender flares are going too. and the level kit.

I'm done spending money on shit for my truck...

0212353 06-29-2013 11:13 PM

ummm..........boo.

myoung84 06-30-2013 10:09 AM

ramthis9501 06-30-2013 01:15 PM

^^Seconded

(S.M.R) 101 06-30-2013 01:53 PM

Lol

myoung84 06-30-2013 01:57 PM

Send me your PayPal address, I'll take your fender flares.

(S.M.R) 101 06-30-2013 02:48 PM

I am actually thinking about ditching the pocket style flares. Might go with a different set.

In all honesty the truck might be going up for sale soon. Think I'm going to use my little suv for awhile. Not 100% but it might happen.

myoung84 06-30-2013 04:04 PM

I'm kind of at a crossroads myself. I was strongly considering dropping a few grand on some Carli suspension goodies and 35s at the end of the year, but the idea of a new wagon with the bigger engine and improved suspension has my brain churning. Think I'm just going to lay low and see what pricing looks like on the 14s.

Yes... This is where I am at too... I was thinking get rid of the truck, wait for the new PW's to hit the lots and decide from there what I want to do.

myoung84 06-30-2013 05:12 PM

If I move forward with a new wagon, it will be custom ordered. For a truck that's most likely going to sticker for over $55k, I'm not settling for what a dealer has on his lot, I want it built to my specs. Worked very well for the Jeep.

0212353 06-30-2013 05:26 PM

am I the only mofo around here that loves my truck and isn't going to be swayed by the new shit? :D

(for a week or 2 that is...)

(S.M.R) 101 06-30-2013 05:27 PM

I meant just wait till they show up on the lots so I can go see it in person and drive it to make sure it's something I want.

then I'll decide if I want to order one.

gotta test it before your 50k invested in something you might not like

myoung84 06-30-2013 06:17 PM

I have truck A.D.D.

Agreed

DoubleTakeDodge 06-30-2013 08:25 PM

And I'm just over here like hoping my truck doesn't shit out before I graduate college lol

Matt 07-02-2013 12:14 PM

Lmao

myoung84 07-05-2013 11:01 AM

Well, I have officially made the decision that I'm sticking with my 2012 and will not be perusing a 2014 with the big bad engine. It's going to get the Carli 2.0 suspension package and will get put back on a 295/70/18 tire.

I'm sure they will be charging an extra ~$2k for the 6.4L and then I would most likely buy the Laramie Power Wagon this time, so there's another ~$4k. I could easily be approaching a $60k sticker price while my current truck was just over $50k. After considering the price of the new truck and the loss I would on this truck, I could easily drop in an Inertia stroker engine for much less, and have a lot more than 410 HP.

I just like my truck way to much to give up on it. I've put a lot into it already and don't really want to start over. After clay barring and waxing it this week, it still looks pretty damn sexy too! With a few dollars in a suspension system, some bigger tires, and stroker under the hood, I'll have a truck that will eat a 2014 for breakfast...

ramthis9501 07-05-2013 12:22 PM

Then we'll have to race Morgan! :D

myoung84 07-05-2013 01:14 PM

LOL. I'm still a 7500lb truck against your 4500lb Dakota...

I'm not really looking for top end HP. What I need is some nice low end torque. 1800-3000 RPM is what's important for this truck.

(S.M.R) 101 07-05-2013 01:48 PM

Good stuff Morgan. I'm still debating selling mine and waiting a few years and picking up something else. But we will see. If I can't get what I want for it I will keep it. Then I as well will be doing the carli 2.0 system.

myoung84 07-05-2013 02:40 PM

I just emailed the guys at 8lugtruckgear to see what kind of pricing I can get on a hybrid system. The Performance 2.0 system comes with a track bar (which I have) and sway bar end links (which I can't use). Wife's going to be pissed when I order the 3rd set of tires for this truck, which only has 20k miles on it. LOL

A whole engine swap won't happen for a while, but I don't see why I can't drop in a cam and get some custom Hemifever tuning to pick up another 30 or so HP/Tq...

ditto here man.

Thought about the new 2013 when my lease was up.

NAHHHHHH

Randall488 07-15-2013 03:46 AM

looks like me and the oil burner are stuck in 2nd gens till after college lol

Okiespaniels 07-15-2013 08:07 AM

My trucks paid for, and not busted or rusted out so I'll keep it...I'd like to have a new one but it'd have be a diesel.
If I could 50 k for a loan, I'd probably invest in real estate.
