Thank ya sir!

Here you go bud, it's the best I can do. I'm sorry the color is a little off, but chrome is a real pain in the ass to chop.

Thanks a million! What do you think? Yes or no?

ramthis9501 07-15-2012 05:29 PM

I think its badass! I personally hate chrome... Color match ftw!

916Timmy 07-15-2012 05:35 PM

I'm doing the same thing on mine! I have a buddy with a body shop in Lubbock, just need to find someone local that can strip the chrome or blast it off.

okcoalroler99 07-15-2012 05:55 PM

Do it looks good

1Tuff6.7 07-15-2012 07:28 PM

Thanks for the input guys! I think its definately a do! gonna call around and get quotes tomorrow so maybe itll be done by the MMM the lift is soon to be gone too. Tires are hella expensive and the lift isn't as cool as it once was, now it's a little bit of a pita. Soon to be back down on a 2" front leveling kit and 35s

fastnnuffrt 07-15-2012 08:52 PM

Lower it and big blacky will still get spanked by the r/t ;))

1Tuff6.7 07-15-2012 10:16 PM

By the time I'm done all you'll see is black smoke and tail
Lights buddy! Haha. Can I borrow some money????
:fuckyea:

916Timmy 07-15-2012 10:46 PM

This might save you some money if you want to prep it yourself!

I definitely think you should do it and a subtle drop.

myoung84 07-16-2012 08:54 AM

This looks awesome! I say do it! You might check out Broken Arrow Powder Coating. They blasted mine and coated them for $200.

Thanks! I'll give them a call for sure. I was gonna have a shop in Muskogee do it but they wanted over $400 and sounded shady as hell! I think I'll get somebody with a reputation to do it!

Thanks! No drops for me though. I think id hate it. She ain't no pavement princess....I need my ground clearance and suspension travel to pull trailers. I just wanna take the lift off to take some stress off my front end and transmission and so tires aren't quite as expensive. And it's easier to make it fast when it's not 8ft tall! Lol

Lt.Dan 07-16-2012 10:44 PM

How good of shape are your tires in? And what are you gonna do with em?

1Tuff6.7 07-16-2012 10:54 PM

Got about 10k left in them. I'm gonna run them until they're done after that I have no clue.

Lt.Dan 07-18-2012 12:23 AM

Gotcha. I thought you were just gonna take em off. If they still had tread when you took them off I wouldda been interested. How loud are those tires?

1Tuff6.7 07-18-2012 12:42 AM

They're actually not loud at all. There's a little hum there now that they're worn. But they're still hardly noticeable and when they were new they were virtually silent. I'm very impressed with them. Gonna get about 65,000 out of them. I rotate them every oil change religiously and they have balancing sand in them. I'll be buying another set when the time comes. Just be 35s this time...

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-18-2012 06:33 AM

Where did you get the balancing sand and how is it installed?

You get it at tire places that have it some do some don't. It's the same as balancing beads I believe. Instead of weights on the wheels they just dump it in the tire and put it on the rim. I used to run it in my big dodge. It's a big deal for oversized tires due to how odd they wear usually. Also is used in semi tires

BMRbrnSNRbrd 07-18-2012 08:40 AM

I know a lot of motorcycle guys that use it also.

fastnnuffrt 07-18-2012 09:02 AM

I didn't think about motorcycles I can't remember if bikes had weights or not? I know my r1 didn't shake at 165 lol but 170 tire was wanting to come off the ground haha

Got mine at 4 wheel parts.

Jesse's right. Just dump a certain amount in the tire and mount it. It's worked out pretty good for me.

myoung84 07-18-2012 05:08 PM

Here's some for cheap on ebay...
