no bs fuel mileage ... ALL Generations

2006 1/2 ton 4x4 5.7 stock flowmaster dumped exhaust 3.92 gears 7" suspension lift 37x13.50x20 Toyo Mts 9.8-10.5 mpg 85% town driving i noticed a huge drop with the 37's vs the 35's there is a big weight difference between them |
2001 half ton 2wd
5.2 V8 Duals 3.55 gears 17" wheels Alot of city driving Around 13-15 mpg |
2008 1500 HEMI 4x4 (MDS)

2010 1500 HEMI (MDS)
Magnaflow muffler Superchips programmer (MDS On) Cooper Zeon 275/60/20 Tires 2/4 Drop Bed Cover Mobil1 full synthetic These are the mods that somewhat contribute to my mileage. Around town I get around 13-15 and highway 18-20, if I can behave and keep it under 75. Before the 4" drop (Had 2" front lift) highway mileage was more like 17-18. I'm sure with some shorter street tires I could easily do 21-22 highway. |
2005 1500 HEMI 2WD
flowmaster muffler k&n CAI stock 3.92's 2/4.5 drop stock 20's - 275/65/20 firestone destination le (tires) i get somewhere around 11.5 to 13.5 most all in town driving. depending on how i drive also :) havent checked it lately though |
OBC blows at mpg I do it myself. I think you misunderstood me. While I'm working my truck is always in 4 wheel drive so I never bother to check the mpg while in fwd. At crusing speed 60 to 65 in 2wd I can pull them numbers.

Averaged today.. Not good.
Bout half tank. Hand calculated to 13.04. Haven't been driving that hard either.. 04 RCSB Hemi K&N 77 Series CAI w/Amsoil dry filter Amsoil 5/20 Superchip 3815 set to 87 I think 305/50/20 Coopers |
2004 Ram 1500 4.7L 2wd
Mobile 1 Full Synthetic Extended Performance Oil Pulstar Iridium Plugs K&N Super77 CAI Airaid TBS Superchips Cortex 91 Octane Performance Tune and 91 Octane Gas Custom Exhaust w/ Single-in Dual-out Flowmaster 40 Series and Hi-flow Cats. 2" drop Shackles Stock 20's on Nitto 420S 305/50/20r Mostly Highway w/ Light city driving on the weekends avg 13.3mpg |
2000 Ram 1500 QC 1500
5.9 V-8 Champion plugs Taylor wires Catback exhaust, 14x3 Filter MSD coil Lifted, 33 inch tires, 3:55 gears Regular gas Gets 10-11mpg city and around 13mpg highway if run at 70mph steady. Doesn't do any better with premium, high dollar unobtanium plugs or a CAI. It really needs a tuner and some lower gears to wake it up. MPGs are irrelevant...when I need MPGs I either drive to gf's Ranger or rent an econo box. |

Filled up today. 14.96.
Was actually happy about that. Need higher standards. :) |
Mods in the signature line.....on 91 tune I get about 17.5-18.0 MPG mostly highway and some babying in the city. But I can quickly drop it to 14 by REALLY getting on the highway!
I am running 3.21 gears still, which really helps on the highway. I cruise 65 mph at 1500 rpm in mds all day! |
my rpm is super low on the highway too but i kick out of mds/over-drive fairly easy with any grade or whatever with my 37's lol
|
99 4x4 2500 cummins auto rv275 injectors edge comp box arp head studs 60# valve springs hx40 turbo built tranny 6" lift 37's weighs 7760 with me in it and full of fuel and i can get 19 average if i drive senceable

2011 r/t
16 highway 14 in town Magnaflow Cai 4.10s 22s |
I think I win in this one! If the winner is horrible gas mileage.
2002 5.9L gas stock rcsb 2wd 4.5/6 drop 305/40/22 3.92/limited slip In town 9.5-10.5 :poop: Highway 15-16 @ 75mph 93 Ram250 2wd cummins stock 24mpg average city/highway with a/c on |
My 04 4.7L was worse than that. Best I ever got was about 14.5 highway, with 3.92 gears and 4.56 gears. That engine is a dog in the QC, and it was even 2wd!

|

|
3:92 is low geard for a gas truck.....my 4:10's are retarded low
This 6th gear http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...9/IMAG0172.jpg |
I have 4.10s in my rt
|

And MPG sucks, I get about 9-10 in town (with my heavy foot), anywhere from 12-15 highway depending on wind speed and direction, and 9-10 towing my boat, which is about 4k lbs after everything else is loaded up. |
My tires are 32.2 in tall and I run around 2200 at 75
|
Im guna swap for some 3:55s cuz i can only turn 3200 rpm and make enormus amounts of torque between 1800 & 2200 rpm 4:10s r useless in a cummins......i can bearly squese 100 mph out of her but she will get from 0-100 dam quick if i stand on it i can be doin 95 at the top of a on ramp easy and still get 18 mpg
