Gas mileage issues

I know, don't buy a truck for gas mileage. However, mine seems to be down a bit despite not changing my tuning and we are clearly past the whole "winter fuel" phenomenon.

I have driven the truck a total of about 50 miles in the last two months (I know, high mileage by JJ standards) but after driving it to work Tuesday and then again this morning, I've found that my gas mileage is down. The only time I keep decent mileage is coasting or on the interstate. Otherwise, anything I do in town drops to almost 10 mpg.

I know there are guys that get worse, but I've never seen it this low. I'm creeping up on 60k miles so a plug change is coming up and honestly, I've only serviced my Vararam filter a couple of times by merely blowing all the shit out of it with my compresser. Anything else anyone can think of? I only get fuel at one location and always use 91 pure gasoline. Tires are kept at 44 pounds.

hey, I'm getting more miles on the truck now.......f us for moving across town, and I gotta take the kiddo to school (by the old house) every day. LOL

Anyway.........how low is it? Might be time to put some synthetic in the diff - plug change should help a bit......but the standard shit is all that comes to mind there.

I think I figured it out. Wind. I didn't even take into consideration the times that the south wind is blowing like hell. I took the truck out today and drove it around and all seems normal....I'll see what it does after the plug change next month.
