Re: New Truck
The more I think about it the more I like the Zeons. I had them on the 2010 and like them a lot. They are fairly aggressive yet have a sporty sidewall. It's like the mullet of tires. Haha. I really miss this look...

Hell yeah. I had them on the 08' and I loved them. Like you said, kinda off road, kinda sporty. I like them.
Them on some 22" MG SRT 10 wheels with a level kit on the truck....... Ohh Yes. |
There you go.

That would be sweet!
Are you planning on doing a leveling kit? I think the Zone kit is probably the best bet. |
Yeah, I think that is the set up I will go with for wheels and tires.
I agree with you on the Zone level with the new UCA's.. That's wild how them ball joints are popping out.. and to think.. all the dealerships are installing these level kits on these 13's and 14's and have no idea the damage they are causing lol.. There are 3 trucks at the local dealer with level kits and new wheels and tires.. Wonder when they will catch on? On a side note. The replica SRT 10 wheels are actually lighter then the actual SRT wheels right? I wonder if I should just get the OEM SRT's or go with aftermarket? |
I have no idea on the SRT wheel weights. My plan is to keep rolling mass down as much as possible though. That's the biggest impact on MPG. According to the Body Builder site, the sport wheels are 33 lbs. The GY SRA tires are 40 lbs. So, I'd at least like to stay around 80lbs per corner. Looking at the sizes available, once you get over the stock size, the weight jumps up a lot. A 305/55/20 Toyo ATII is 74 lbs!
Here's some info I've found on various tires in stock size as well as the weights of the stock wheels. Goodyear SR-A: 40 lbs Toyo ATII: 43 lbs Cooper AT3: 48 lbs Cooper Zeon LTZ: 53 lbs Laramie Wheels: 32.2 lbs Sport Wheels: 33.2 lbs Longhorn Wheels: 34.5 lbs R/T 22" Wheels: 34.9 lbs |
Damn. Thanks for the info Morgan.

20x10 rockstar 43.5lb
37x13.50 toyo 93 lbs lol 136.5 lbs per corner plus matching spare in the back ... ughhhh gas ha |
