Fogged up headlight
 

I washed the truck yesterday at the car wash, then later on noticed condensation in the driver side headlight. It's totally fogged up now, what can I do to get rid of the moisture?

Find some of those silica pack things that come in shoe boxes, pop out the headlight, and tape them to the inside of the back of the lense or somewhere inside the housing.

That might be a good idea Dave, I might try that if the place I got them from doesn't give me a new pair

I had this issue with my stock lights...probably the seal around the lens and housing leaked.
So I took my cordless drill and a 1/8 bit and drilled 3 holes in the bottom of the housing to let the water out and the housings "breathe". Since the mounts were in the way I drilled through them too.
Problem solved.

This company is not about like me, I sent them a pic of the clearly fogged up headlight and here's what they said...

Dear buyer,

I've checked with our technical support, moisture is normal unless with huge amount of water drops. Please find the attached documents for the explanation. Thanks!

Here's my thing, I spent $115 on these things not even 2 months ago and already they start giving me trouble. That to me is a faulty set and needs to be replaced by the warranty they give with them which I think is a year. Either way I still have a warranty. So what do you guys think?

honest opinion? i think you're going to have to deal with it bc i don't see them taking care of you with their response .. kinda what i've come to expect with buying cheap stuff off ebay ... most "warranties" down hold water .. no pun intended haha

Yeah, he's right unfortunately. I had the same problem with a cheap set of projectors for a retro I did on my '04...there was a problem and they said, "No problem, send them back to this address." It was some place in the middle of nowhere China and the cheapest shipping I could find was over $300 for a $100 set of projectors.

You are going to have to find your own fix.

i would take a heat gun to them and try to heat them up a bit ... but that plastic is very thin on aftermarket headlights so TAKE YOUR TIME and only do it a bit at a time .... and constantly move it around don't hold it in one spot

I still say use silica packets and call it done. Just secure them so they don't slide out where you can see them.
