So I was messing around, thinking about future plans for the new sport.

Like I said, Just spit balling.... I'm sure I will change things up as I go along.. Just wanted some opinions.

Thanks

Looks good man!

myoung84 03-13-2014 04:12 PM

Love it! I know this guy that could get rid of that chrome in the headlights... ;)

(S.M.R) 101 03-13-2014 05:55 PM

That's what I was thinking as well.. I hate that damn chrome ring.....

BMRbrnSNRbrd 03-16-2014 12:25 PM

Black or gray wheels?

(S.M.R) 101 03-16-2014 09:01 PM

Anthracite..

Just seen a guy who had his stockers on an express powder coated in anthracite and it looked clean as hell.. Love the way it looked

DoubleTakeDodge 03-16-2014 11:53 PM

You should look in to a wide mouth grille instead of just painting the center!

Eh, Never been a huge fan of the wide mouth grills.

Might have Dave chop one just to see what it would look like but not sure if I'd go that route.

thats bitchin' man.......

Yeah, lets get rid of that chrome on those lights. Third time's a charm buddy! ;)

(S.M.R) 101 03-17-2014 06:17 PM

I just need to find the time to send them to you.. I don't have my 2nd vehicle anymore..

0212353 03-17-2014 08:48 PM

We'll figure something out - 3peaters get special treatment. ;)

(S.M.R) 101 03-17-2014 10:09 PM

Hell yes man.. I'll get with you soon. I'll need some HID's for this bad boy!

0212353 03-17-2014 10:11 PM

what do you think of the halogens?

I ran them for a few months........but.........it was spring / summer......didn't really need much lights. ;)

(S.M.R) 101 03-17-2014 10:51 PM

For stock... Not bad man. I'm really liking this auto high beam dimmer function on this truck.. it's nice not to have to flip back and forth between low and high beam.

But the stockers are not to bad. I could deal with them if I had to...... But why keep stock when you could upgrade?

0212353 03-17-2014 11:14 PM

I tried the auto high thing on the van..........just...........didn't like it. It didn't seem to work.

And yeah, stock? Bleh.

FXR it this time man.........lol - you'll need a towel...........

(S.M.R) 101 03-17-2014 11:32 PM

I did notice that if you are in sharp corners and pass a car they have some trouble.. Like S curves and what not.. But 9 times out of 10 they worked perfect.

I do not like when you come below 10mph they shut off until you get back up to 25-30mph.... Thought that was weird but apparently that's what they are suppose to do.

0212353 03-17-2014 11:34 PM

I like simplicity. If I want high beams, I turn 'em on. ;)

myoung84 03-18-2014 10:40 AM

I really like the auto high beams in the Jeep. They work pretty well.

This may just be a personal infatuation but I love the wide mouth grilles, especially on the 4g body styles. I saw a phantom grill on a 3/4 that looked pretty cool too. Here are pics of both the wide mouth billet and wide mouth mesh grilles on 4g trucks for your consideration lol :D

And some pics of one of Jeremy's customers' truck with a wide mouth billet. I think your truck would look great with a paint matched surround and either the billet or mesh painted anthracite to match the wheels!

0212353 03-19-2014 10:24 AM

i love me some dodge crosshairs.........

(S.M.R) 101 03-19-2014 11:32 AM

I just don't think I could rock one James... idk why.. On some trucks it looks legit but I cannot muster up the courage to go that route.

I actually think I am going to try and get the 2014 honey comb black grill inserts. I really like the look of that honey comb on the 14' grille shell.

DoubleTakeDodge 03-19-2014 02:22 PM

I hear ya man! It's all about personal taste! That honeycomb would look pretty legit too!

BMRbrnSNRbrd 03-20-2014 08:18 AM

I did a chop and even talked to my paint and body guy about doing a custom wide mouth. Our plans were to take a stock grill, cut out the cross hairs, and fiberglass the inside of the outer shell smooth. We then wanted to find a way to mount black mesh to the back part of the recess to give the grill a very deep, 3D look that you cannot get with a drop in big mouth grill. I just never pulled the trigger because I can't find anywhere that can produce that large of a mesh insert without asking for my soul as payment.

DoubleTakeDodge 03-20-2014 11:45 PM

A deep one would really look great!

(S.M.R) 101 03-21-2014 12:01 AM

I agree... But I don't have anyone up here that would even consider doing something like this.

So I am just going to throw one of the black honeycomb inserts that come on the black appearance package trucks
