Sport Grille

Plans in the near future are getting a new paintable sport grille assembly. Question is, will the sport grille fit on a non-sport truck? Just want to make sure before I order one...

And is there much difference in look between the sport and non-sport grilles?

You have to get a new bumper. But yes they will fit on a non sport. Just have to get a sport bumper too.

Would it work with this?

You'd have to have the sport bumpers mounts and impact plate...well I shouldn't say that but it's quite like. Something I'd ask before purchase.

I changed my white truck to a sport front end from the SLT once before going with the street scene instead. I had to buy the new bumper, brackets, 3rd gens had a plastic piece that built up to the bottom of the headlights, support braces, etc. A great way to see what you may need to go the sport route would be to look at the exploded view of the front end of both the base and sport models offered by LMC Truck on both their website and magazine. Once you find them, check to see which part numbers are different. any sport part with a different part number may need to be and should be ordered in order to ensure a nice clean and structurally stable fit
