Kegger Mod

I have an extra stock kegger intake laying around and want to look into modifying it... What can I do to get more air into it compared to stock? I figure I need to bore it out in someway but where and how much is the question...

I guess I'm not familiar with that intake...pics?

You have to cut the runners down about an inch or 1.25 inches(?) for a 318, then it is recommended you "knife edge" the inlets and ball grind the injector ports where they enter the intake for a better pattern.
There are lots of threads on this in other forums. I would suggest googling "kegger mod" and see what you get.

BTW the information on RF is partially erroneous...filling the kegger with epoxy decreases the overall volume of the area and increases velocity in the low end not the top end. If anything too much filler restricts flow and thus top end power.

I did find a good thread on it, it seems pretty simple and easy to do. I already got it soaking in a mix of detergent to get it shiny clean! Im gonna take my time on this so I'll update it as I go.

Dave, just google kegger intake and you'll see it, it basically just looks like a miniture beer keg cut in half lol

Ok heres some pics... got a question... The extra intake is off of a 95 and has an extra port on each side (refer to pics below). Is there a way to get rid of those extra 2?

Well since Im using an intake off a 95, which was an egr engine, I had to find a way to seal the hole up where it went. So me and my dad took an extra piece of sheet metal laying around and made one ourselves.

This is what it looked like (with the egr valve cut off)

And heres the new one

Ok so I took it to a machine shop to be cleaned and it wasnt even clean... pissed me off. So Im going to go get some mag cleaner that is supposed to work really well on aluminum and clean it up later this evening. Then it'll be time to cut it up!
