dana 70 worth saving?

so, the cummins im buying needs the rear end rebuilt, when i actually got down and looked under the truck the problem wasnt in the ring and pinion at all, the drivers side axle shaft fell out... like literally fell out of the spider gear and the weight of the truck made the axel tube out of round at the end near the spindle.. so my question is, is it worth trying to straighten out or should i just get a whole new rear end? i'd rather not considering this one is 3:54's with a factory limited slip...
