I'm torn...

So I found 22" Boss 313s in DFW and he wants a staight trade for my wheels. There are two things that make me hesitate...

1. I'll have to pull my tpms out because his truck is an '04 so he doesn't have any...not a big deal, just an extra $80.
2. He says the tires are a little rough because the truck's camber isn't perfect. I've had tires that make noise because of excessive camber wear before and I just stuck them on the back so it was less noticable and they started to even out. I asked him for a pic to see how bad they are and I'll post the pic when I get it.

Would you do it?

Only if I really loved the wheels and it was an upgrade. I wouldnt side step for them.

How good are your tires? If they're in the same shape or close to it then it sounds like a good deal. If the tires on the 22's are crap then I wouldn't be to sure

i would do it ....

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-17-2011 09:02 PM

Well my truck is brand new...so you can imagine the tires aren't bad.

The extra camber wear I can live with...these look pretty shot overall:

Tires are shot...no freaking 22s again. Son of a bitch!

myoung84 09-17-2011 09:17 PM

With those tires, I say no. Unless you want to drop $800+ on new rubber...

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-17-2011 09:21 PM

Which I don't have and won't for a while. Oh well...Plasti-Dip FTW!

Well I wasn't sure if you did burnouts often like you did at that meetup lol

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-17-2011 09:27 PM

Only time I've done it.

myoung84 09-17-2011 09:40 PM

I try not to smoke too much rubber off my tires. They wear down fast enough from just driving, don't need to accelerate that process...

Man I'm really bummed about the wheels but I'll find something one day...still praying for SRTs. The part that kills me is that I could sell my old bike and get SRTs, tires, and still have some money left over...but that just won't happen.

ramthis9501 09-18-2011 12:53 AM

The plastidipped wheels you got will look great

916Timmy 09-18-2011 12:57 AM

Boss wheels aren't even expensive....just save up! Your stock rims are worth more than a set of Boss'

OklaHemi 09-19-2011 10:18 AM

for sure, i put money in the bank when i put the boss wheels on the tahoe and sold the stock 20's

(S.M.R) 101 09-19-2011 12:08 PM

your looking for OEM SRT wheels... or would you take replica SRT's

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-21-2011 02:05 PM

Doesn't make a difference to me.
