Tow mirrors have been installed

FedEx dropped off my mirrors today and I got them installed at lunch. They don't look as huge as I thought they would be and the visibility is great! I do need to raise the truck back up, I think it will look a lot better...

Nice man! Yeah a lift is definitely needed

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-16-2011 03:32 PM

The mirrors aren't as big as I thought but damn do they stick way the hell out there!

myoung84 09-16-2011 03:42 PM

I never measured the stock mirrors, but these stick out about 18.5" from the door. And as much as I hate to do it, the truck will probably be lifted back up next weekend. I like the lowered look, but I like being lifted more...

yeah i like the mirrors but you're right they only match a lifted truck imo

If you want to give me a get well soon gift send those springs to me so I can cut mine down.

myoung84 09-16-2011 05:28 PM

I can even hand deliver them, for a small fee of $250! I'll include the bolts and washers I used to move the sway bar up. :D

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-16-2011 05:32 PM

I wish I could but I've pushed my modding to the limit with my spending lately...especially since I told my wife I would stop all of it after buying my gun...and then I got the mygig...and now it's little stuff.

myoung84 09-16-2011 09:04 PM

I hear you, its an addiction! I really need to buy 2 new tires for the Charger, which will be partially funded by selling my drop kit.

I would love those bolts!!!! :)

Looks good Morgan! Love the way that front end looks...never seen good close ups before!

myoung84 09-17-2011 10:58 AM

The chrome carriage bolts? You can get them at Ace hardware. It's one of my favorite mods.

OklaHemi 09-17-2011 12:10 PM

i always thought the hole looked tacky, its a good thing you cant see mine lol. i am usually a big fan of color matching but like you said the grill toned down the chrome and it looks amazing. that first picture is wicked cool

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-17-2011 12:20 PM

Morgan what would you think of two toning those mirrors? Gloss black arm and base and color matched face?

myoung84 09-17-2011 01:38 PM

I think that would look good. Ill have to do a photochop when I get back to work Monday.

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-17-2011 02:33 PM

Eh...maybe not...

They don't look bad... think you could do the pic with them flipped out also? Just curious what it'd look like then

True, but they are black now.

Matt 09-17-2011 03:26 PM

i know but for some reason the black doesnt stand out to me bc you just expect a mirror to be black but then when the bottom piece gets color matched the black really pops ... idk it might just be me .... carry on lol

916Timmy 09-17-2011 04:52 PM

I like the painted top part!

myoung84 09-17-2011 05:47 PM

Eh, I don't know...

BMRbrnSNRbrd 09-17-2011 06:12 PM

I could go either way honestly. It could always be done some other time.

myoung84 09-17-2011 06:19 PM

I might get my headlight painted this weekend then I'll look into matching the mirrors again.
