FS: 2008 Charger SRT8 Super Bee #139

I'm selling my 2008 Charger SRT8 Super Bee to get into a bigger family vehicle. It currently has 42.5k miles and is in excellent condition. Factory options include sunroof, remote start, heated front seats, and the Kicker stereo with factory subwoofer. The SRT8 package includes a 425HP 6.1L Hemi, Brembo brakes, and Bilstein shocks. This is also the Super Bee package which is a limited edition numbered car, this one is #139 of 1000 made for 2008. The Super Bee package for 08 includes B5 Blue paint, Super Bee side decals, Hemi hood decal, special painted wheels with SRT engraving, serial numbered plaque on the dash, blue suede inserts in front and rear seats with blue stitching, and carbon fiber dash and door trim.

New brake pads were installed about k miles ago, new front tires about 5k miles ago, and new rear tires about 12k miles ago. The car is stock with the exception of a Magnaflow dual 3" cat-back exhaust system and a Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD 7" touch screen headunit with XM radio. The oil has been changed every 4k miles with Mobil 1 0w-40 and WIX filter. There are zero mechanical issues and no fluid leaks. Two of the wheels have very minor curb rash, and the windshield has a small crack near the passenger side. This car is fast and very fun to drive!

I’m looking to get $27k, OBO. Please don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected]. To reduce spam calling I will not publish my phone number, however I will give it to you over email if you are interested. I am located in Broken Arrow, OK and would be happy to meet you if you are interested.

The 08 SuperBee was the best IMO, but I might be very biased lol.

Have you had any luck yet Morgan?

A couple low ball offers and a few trades. Nothing serious though. It needs to sell quick though, my Jeep is scheduled for delivery around 3/22...

myoung84 03-01-2013 12:18 AM

Would $24500 do the trick?

916Timmy 03-01-2013 06:08 PM

I finally sold the car yesterday. I had a few people interested in the car but it never seemed to work out. Either they couldn't get financing together or their damn wives wouldn't let them have it. I took it to a couple dealers and they low balled me with an embarrassing offers. What I found out when getting trade appraisals done was that the car had been wrecked, which shocked me a little. I bought it from Chris Nikel 2 years ago with 22k miles and it had been wrecked a year before that. It was listed on carfax as a front end collision with no other details. This was the big reason for the low offers. I remember asking them if it had ever been wrecked and they of course said no. I found out from a couple other dealers that they legally do not have to disclose the fact that it's been wrecked, even if you ask them. It's up to the buyer to run the carfax report, even if buying from a dealership. Shame on me for not doing so, lesson learned. I would have still bought the car, but not for the price I paid.

Just out of curiosity, I took it back to Chris Nikel and decided to see what would offer without me mentioning the wreck. I was really heading in there for a fight, but they were surprisingly friendly. The used car sales manager remembered the car being on the lot when I bought it and seemed to like it a lot. He drove it, came back and offered me way more than I was expecting. I negotiated a little and got them up another $500. He was the first dealer not to mention the wreck. I'm sure they ran the carfax and knew it was wrecked but I think they were keeping their mouths shut since they knew I bought it assuming it was a wreck free car.

In the end I'm happy with the deal. It's way more than Bob Moore was offering for trade but still less than I could have gotten on a private party sell, but I just don't have a lot of time to try and sell it. Also, I won't lie to someone who asks me if it was been wrecked or try to cover it up. It's not a big deal to me since it was fixed right and looks perfect, but I think the new owner should know this before purchasing. It also had a cracked windshield and only one key, which is going to cost about $4-500 to an individual. The dealer will take care of this for a fraction of that and sell it to someone else, without disclosing the wreck of course.

Moral of the story, always run a carfax if buying a vehicle, even when from a big dealership!

now thats interesting.....

916Timmy 03-20-2013 08:33 PM

Glad my damn wife said no then :)

BMRbrnSNRbrd 03-20-2013 09:04 PM

Sucks about what you found out, but like you said, you couldn't tell. I can't wait for pis of the Jeep. Any planned mods for the Jeep?

myoung84 03-21-2013 07:58 AM

Yeah it sucks, but it's gone and I came out alright.

The Jeep will leave the dealers lot and go straight to the window tint shop next door to get the front doors and windshield strip done. Then when it gets home I'll install the oil catch can from the Charger. I've been tossing around the idea of a Gibson axle back exhaust that will be just a touch louder and can be had for less than $400 for the stainless steel version. No one else makes an axle back and I'm not spending $12-1400 for a full system. Stock intake flows pretty well so it probably won't get an intake. I'll most likely swap out the fog lights and with HIDs. Probably not much else after that.
