Looking for exhaust
Next mod for my dad's Ram 2500... new exhaust. So what's a good brand to go with on the diesels? It has the 5.9
Just any pipe would work really just get 4" or maybe 5". I wouldn't run a muffler but that's just me
So just do it from cat back?
Cat,? what cat lol If it was me I would do from turbo back all pipe no muffler or anything. Ive done lots of work on diesel trucks for friends. Exhaust, intakes, particulate removal, egr delete kits all that crap. A good website to go check out is Rollin Smoke Diesels they have all the brands and are priced pretty good that's what website I've always ordered my stuff from. (for diesels of course) lol
Oh guess diesels don't have a cat lol I'll look at that site, thanks man

This looks like a good deal... What do you think? |
Looks good to me, remember tho it doesn't come with a tip if he want one he will have to buy that separate. Dang I wish I could afford to buy a diesel.
Don't need a tip lol as long as it'll sound badass haha
Lol Ohh it will sound bad ass alright
I definitely wish I could afford and had use for a diesel...I would still like to stick a diesel in a 1500 RCSB.
I've thought about doing that with my truck, just wonder what it'd cost to do
Does your dad like a really loud truck? I think the majority of people won't like a straight-piped diesel.

Ok now that is freaking sick, I wonder what he did about the frame. Doubt the 1500 fram can handle all the torque for very long
That's just badass
Can't beat 700 hp and 55 mpg lol
That is sick!!

My brothers has a turbo back on his chevy and that thing is pretty damn loud..
Probably going to be ordering the exhaust pretty soon :D One question though, with this kit is there any welding involved or is it just all bolt on?
honestly taking it to a local exhaust shop will probably be cheaper than ordering a "kit" and most kits use brackets to bolt on
If your dad takes the truck off road, "dirt roads, 2 tracks" or rough roads and stuff like that I'd weld it, Bolts tend to come off in moderate use of the truck. Happend on my last 2 trucks got tired of messing with it so I weld from now on.
No dirt riding and it is rarely taken off road, so bolt on we can do for sure
