yeah i know a couple of them on the show one of the guys "flip" actually just committed suicide the other day .. bad deal
Yeah, I heard about this and about that guy Flip. Terrible news.

Street Outlaws
Yea, sad about Flip for sure! I wish I had gotten the chance to know him. Chuck and Big Rob got Flip tattoos yesterday. We hang with chuck and his family at the lake and he got me a killer deal on a cat back for the charger. Super nice guy! I just wonder how they will make him look on the show?
Crazy seeing the Farm truck and Chuck on TV....he built my Integra back in 05-06!
I'm watching it right now! Very cool show so far.
I'd like to go meet these guys one day |
they are just every day people here lol
I know, that's what's cool about it. I didn't realize Oklahoma had some of the fastest street cars in the country.
I think I've even seen that red 1000 horsepower Chevy around here a couple times. |
it's talked up for tv as well some of those cars are super fast for sure .. but as far as "street" cars most are tagged trailer queens so hard to call most of them street cars
I started to watch it before I went to bed. It is an unfortunate part of any tv "reality" series, but they have to "tv" it up a bit. The whole ranking system...is that legit? Also, I don't think someone racing a fully built drag car on the street can really call it a street car. Now, if they can legally be driven on the street, fair enough.
yeah the ranking system is legit and it works off of head to heads so just bc a car ahead of them is faster say at the track doesn't mean shit if it can't win a head to head on the street ... my buddy will be on the list later this season all these cars can be legally driven on the street other then their tires being slicks and not drag radials .. that's the whole thing about them is legally they are considered street cars but did you see any of them not show up on a trailer? lol
Wonder if I could get my Dakota built up to keep up with them ;)
bet it could now
I watched the rest a bit ago. Who's your buddy?
Colton, I dont think so. Unless your parents sell their house to finance it. |
Haha no doubt. I can only imagine the money those guys have in their cars. I mean it is possible with these R/T's but costs a shit load to get them in the 10's.
these are NOT 10 second strip cars .. they would wax any rt unless keith black through a hemi in it and it was made of fiberglass
I just had to shake my head when I watched it.

Street Outlaws
Matt, most of the cars show up on trailers for two reasons. First the cars are not street legal because of tires and exhaust and that would draw too much attention. Second, cars that make that much power break---A LOT, if it was your car, you wouldn't want to leave it along side the road till you could get it home.
Anything can be a street car for 10 seconds!
It's on tonight! I know I'll be watching it!

Gotcha, Farm Truck and Big Chief's Chevy are about as close as they come to "street" cars.
exactly
I really want to have a truck like that Chevy one day....something about a high 9 second truck!
Street Outlaws
Yeah an old guy Ron Diggs at my work used to run with them back in the day... He said the shows/ ranking is legit but they race by the old airport out in el Reno "the whole find a street and race illegally thing is for the show" if you notice it's the same strip in both shows so far.. But never the less it's an awesome show!!
Yeah, as soon as I saw the huge lights I knew it was a staged "street race." Still can't deny those cars are legit.
Anything that can trap 200 is ridiculous!

Not the same air strip.
The first was ElReno, the second was Pauls Valley--later you will see them race on a street in El Reno that the city closed for the show. It's the same street that is raced on for small town days or whatever it's called. The races aren't staged, the film crew does make arrangements to place lights and a controlled strip so you can see who wins. Search BigRob Entertainment on YouTube. Same guys racing without the lights and on city streets holding up traffic. Because of the huge liability, the production company made each of the cars pass a safety tech inspection. Chucks white "death trap" actually failed because his safety harness was out of date and needs to be re-certified--he almost missed the races you saw last week because of that. That's why u also see them wearing fire suites and helmets. Listen to what is said at the beginning of the show-- okc has the fastest street RACED cars in the nation. Meaning that these cars aren't running on a prepped track. Most of them are not street cars but race cars with tags. Having a tag is the difference between getting your car impounded or loading back up on the trailer with a pocket full of traffic tickets. |
Just thought I'd share. Went out to the track tonight, PSRA was going on and was fun to watch!
But the cool thing was that Sean/Murder Nova, Big Chief and Monza were out there and I got to meet them! Actually had a legit conversation with them. They were all really cool |

Just sold him a sink, ceiling fan, and a lawn mower up in Stillwater! :D |
Hahaha, that too funny
He's gutting the lawn mower to put the ceiling fan in it... Haha this was an awesome conclusion to my night at work!
Haha that's awesome!
I got to watch Daddy Dave run at the track last night, that was fun to see! |
Season finale tonight!
