[QUOTE=myoung84;27207]Playing around a little more in Photoshop on my future Outdoorsman. Darkened the paint a little so it actually looks like granite, added the 20" wheels, tinted windows, debadged, and a black Ram head in the grille. Here's the renderings with OEM black projectors and dechromed projectors with painted and color matched bumper options. Then black wheels...
As far as the lights go, I don't think I'm going to have any chrome. Probably going with granite/black combo with tinted reflector and turn signal. The chrome looks good with the chrome bumpers but if/when I color match the bumpers, I'm not going to like the chrome in the lights. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3cb97251.jpg I really like this one man, for sure. In the picture looks to accent that wheels if you plan on leaving them silver. I know actual would be different but even color matching the shroud to match the truck would look amazing. I would love to do something with my headlights but there is way to much red on it as is.. adding red to the headlights would look cheesy IMO so I'm stuck with black. |
so many options.
I think these would look better.........for a red truck.......if the shroud wasn't ALL red (do it half red, half black) https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho...37335433_n.jpg or.........f it. LOL https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho...20532909_o.jpg |
That two tone option would look sweet.
|
I wish I could get someone to do a white / red combo. Come on........red truck, white accents.........bring it on. That would be KILLER

no, not the wheels, that looks weird. lol
|
I couldn't do just white in the headlights.. other parts would have to be white or it would drive me nuts.
|
White wheels looks too ricer like...
|
No doubt. I'm sticking with Anthracite. I think it's going to look good with the red.
|
My semi-final light renderings. I'm leaning towards the left...
http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...psc6949d96.jpg |
Left for sure.. Kill the Chrome!
|
Agreed! I think with the chrome bucket for the high beam and the projector lense it will have just enough contrast to have a little pop.
|
Another vote for the left
|
so, we ready? LOL
when will the truck be in? |
Probably early to mid June (for the second truck). As soon as I sell some of these Carli parts and lights I'll shoot you some money!
|
sweeeeeeeeeeeet, cuz I'm scheduling for June 2nd shipping dates right now. Well, probably 9th, somewhere in there. ;)

Build sheet for truck #1. Wish they wouldn't have screwed this one up, I could have had it in a couple weeks...
|
guess who's lights hit the warehouse today? ;) They fly outta here so fast I "reserve" the sold ones (even if weeks out) - last thing I want is a retrofit delayed because I sold a set. Don't care what my supplier says on when he's shipping.........lol
Anyway, some fresh lights hit the warehouse, and your name is all over one of those sets! ;) |
Sweet! Getting excited! Now I just need to sell some more PW parts! Still sitting on $5k of parts...
And I now have a window sticker for truck #1... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...%20Sticker.pdf |
46K. I know its not what was paid, but faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack
lol Any bites on the heads? You've got those all off and stuff now right? Shoot me some pics of them, and remind me what you want for them. I'll stick 'em on FB and I'm sure we can find a buyer. Email me that shit duder. ;) |
Yep, they ain't cheap anymore!
I had one guy wanting to buy all the lights but backed out. I did sell the light bar today. Email coming your way! |
spiffy!

Got some more detailed info. There's a guy over on Jeepgarage that tracks new Jeep orders (With site membership) and gives better information than customer service or the dealer gives. So, I thought I'd ask and see if he could track Rams and here it is!
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): 1C6RR7TT1ES387365 Order Number (VON): 31301465 Sold Order: Yes Year: 2014 Make: Ram Model: 1500 Color: Granite Crystal Met. Clear Coat Current .. Shit yes dude! Cannot wait to see it
|
nice! Unloads in OK the same day I ship goodies! LOL
|
It's a race to see what gets here first! My bet is the lights. LOL
Assuming it doesn't get caught up in inspection like the Jeep did and actually gets put on a train when it's done, that timeline should be pretty close. I think it took almost a week to get the Jeep from OKC to Tulsa on a car hauler though. So, probably looking at the week of 6/9 for delivery if all goes well. I'm looking forward to having the lights before the truck though. I'll drive that bitch home and immediately pop the grille off and get to work. Stock lights will never see darkness. :D I'm hoping rebates get a little better in June (I have the option of the rebates when I ordered or the rebates when I take delivery). They probably won't, but I can dream can't I? There's $4000 in regular rebates right now, plus my $1000 USAA rebate.... I'm up to almost $9k off sticker right now, another grand would be sweet! |
that would be pretty spiffy!

Build Sheet! Everything looks correct on this one. :D
|
That's a sheet full of awesome!
|
I was relieved to see that the first line was monotone paint. LOL
|
Well, powder coating the bumpers is probably out. I talked with the guys over at Broken Arrow Power Coating (super nice guy, did my PW bumpers) and he doesn't recommend trying to match metallic paint with powder coat. Says it's impossible to match correctly on the color and metallic level. Unless it's gloss white, black, or red, he says it never turns out good. They do have metallic powder coat so there is a chance that they have something that will be very close, but I'm not holding my breath. If it's not a perfect match, it will drive me nuts.
What he did recommend is having them do a base coat powder then paint on top of that. It's far more durable than trying to paint the chrome and gives the paint something better to stick to. Also, if the paint does chip, having a dark gray base of powder coat will be much better than chrome shining through. |
if that was the option presented to me........I'd buy a painted Outdoorsman front bumper...and repaint (like I did on my truck) and then get a paintable rear bumper. I'd sell the stockers........and at the same time, get the dual exhaust rear bumper so you can pimp it out with a nice 5" tip setup
|
Checked Rockauto and they don't have 13-14 bumpers listed yet. I'll just roll with chrome for now. I'll be spending enough money on it up front and that will give me something to change later when I get bored. LOL
